Wear a sweater because we need to ventilate the room well. DESCRIPTION:Join Ukiah Branch Library staff as we host poetry events in-person on the 3rd Saturdays of each month at 3:00 pm. This free event is open to both teens & adults – all are invited to share poems in any form or style\, or just listen to others. \nOn June 17\, we welcome Armand Brint\, the City of Ukiah’s first Poet Laureate and one of the founders of the Ukiahaiku Festival\, now in its 21st year. He is the author of six collections of poetry and one volume on the art and craft of writing poetry. Armand’s latest book is A Wing and A Prayer (2023). DESCRIPTION:Writers Read Ukiah last Thursday poetry series will meet on Thursday\, June 29\, at 7PM at the Grace Hudson Museum in Ukiah. \nThis will be an all open mic night\, so bring your best work and be aware of the six-minute limit. We will start at 7\, take a break at 8\, and call it quits at 9. \nNote: There will not be an event in July; it is the summer break. \nWe continue to strongly recommend that you do not attend unless fully vaccinated.
