SUMMARY:Felicia Rice & Theresa Whitehill: Heavy Lifting at the M.K. Contemporary Art Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Heavy Lifting will be part of the exhibit Selections: Rydell Visual Arts Fellows 2006-2021 at the M.K. Contemporary Art Gallery. The exhibition runs from Saturday\, January 27\, 2024 through Sunday\, March 24\, 2024. The curators of the exhibit are Melissa Kreisa and Rose Sellery. This exhibit is in partnership with Community Foundation Santa Cruz County and the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History \nThe Heavy Lifting Listening Tour will be coming to Santa Cruz during this exhibition. The tour will come to the Institute of the Arts & Sciences (IAS)\, University of California at Santa Cruz on Sunday\, March 3 at 3 pm. For venue information\, contact ias@ucsc.edu. \nThe Heavy Lifting Listening Tour aspires to offer opportunities for healing\, and dreaming\, through dialogue. An introduction to the project opens a display of the artists’ book and of the experimental film\, On Heavy Lifting\, that accompanies the book.
