DESCRIPTION:The Heavy Lifting Listening Tour is coming to the Santa Cruz Public Library in Felton on Saturday\, August 24 at 2 pm. For venue information\, contact feltonlibraryfriends@gmail.com. \nThe Heavy Lifting Listening Tour aspires to offer opportunities for healing\, and dreaming\, through dialogue. An introduction to the project opens a display of the artists’ book and of the experimental film\, On Heavy Lifting\, that accompanies the book. DESCRIPTION:Join us to welcome Devreaux Baker in her first feature as Poet Laureate of Mendocino County. \nDevreaux is the author of 5 books of poetry and publications in many periodicals and anthologies. She has won the PEN Oakland Josephine Miles Poetry Award\, a Women’s Global Leadership Poetry Award\, the Fischer International Poetry Prize\, a U.S. Poets In Mexico Award\, and a Helene Wurlitzer Foundation Poetry Fellowship.
