Karen K. Lewis is a longtime workshop leader with California Poets in the Schools. She’s interested in spaces between here and there. Where ocean touches earth. Where mountains reach sky. Where “impossible” becomes “maybe” and where the blank page turns to art. Her work appears in anthologies and journals including Literary Mama, Minerva Rising, Iron Horse, 7×7.la and in magazines for youth. Karen’s poetry chapbook PEACE MAPS was launched in 2020 by Finishing Line Press. She is a former director of the Mendocino Coast Writers’ Conference, and lives near the Navarro River. Amanda Cruise is a third culture kid raised in Rome, Paris and New York City. Her poetry has appeared in the Noyo Review, Lake County Bloom, and soon in the Mendocino Women’s Poetry Anthology: Spirit of Place. Her art has been exhibited at PhotoPlace in Vermont, Praxis Gallery in Minnesota, Writers of the Mendocino Coast anthologies, as well as at galleries in Germany, the Netherlands and Thailand. Her creative path, like her life, continues to be non-linear and she likes it that way. She currently lives in Mendocino on Northern Pomo land where she wanders the land, wonders about life and drinks tea by the ocean. Photography – amandacruise.com
Sometimes she’s @wildishwoman on Instagram.
