Jack Crimmins, Writers Read Ukiah
Writers Read Ukiah last Thursday poetry series will meet on Thursday, October 30, at 7 PM at the Grace Hudson Museum in Ukiah. The featured reader is Jack Crimmins of Santa Rosa.
Jack Crimmins lives in Sonoma County and is the author of six books of poetry. His first book, “Kit Fox Blues”, was published with an introduction by Beat poet Diane di Prima. His recent books are “The Edge of Rain”, “Jazz Midnight” and a book of short poems, “Wilderness and Time”. Jack has been the featured poet in many of Lynn V. Andrews’ books on cross-cultural shamanism. He worked early on as a wilderness guide and then for many years as a licensed psychotherapist, mostly with adolescents in community mental health. Jack’s poems are concerned with people, landscape and spirit.
Open mic session will follow the featured reading. Maximum time for each reader is five or six minutes, depending. Event will end at 9 PM, so plan accordingly.
