From Melissa Eleftherion: How can we protect the most imperiled among us? Suture is a collection of erasures of Flowers in the Attic & other books by V.C. Andrews, that works to excavate stuck traumas & shame to reclaim a narrative. The work aims to open a channel for the oppressed voice in the sub- & inter-textual space to sing and be heard. To be listened to in all their vulnerable musics without need of armor or shells. The voice is soft and aims to stay that way, despite all lived experiences to the contrary.
