Join us at the White Barn for a late afternoon performance of poetry accompanied by live music. Inspired by and adapted from a recent experience with poetry and musical improv, poet Theresa Whitehill will perform a selection of her work in collaboration with musicians David Smith, on piano, and Ann Gilleran, on fiddle and mandolin. This will be an opportunity to hear Whitehill’s soulful poetry accompanied by spontaneous compositions of these two accomplished musical artists.

David Smith is a contemporary music composer from Ukiah, California. Multi-instrumentalist Anne Gilleran is known to local audiences as part of the Kith & Kin band. Theresa Whitehill has performed in many poetry programs at the White Barn over the years, and is a former Poet Laureate of Ukiah.
