Arbor Day is celebrated all over the world on April 29th. On Sunday, May 1st the Tree Advisory Group will be holding a poetry writing contest for youth ages 5 to 18.
Poems Due:
An in-person submission of a single poem will be accepted Sunday, May 1st between 1-3 pm. Bring your poem about a tree to the information table that will be located at the City of Ukiah Civic Center Grounds near the old oak tree at 300 Seminary Avenue.
Contest Rules:
Ages 5-11 and 12-18 category
Submit one poem per person on a single sheet of paper include name, age, address, and telephone number. First prize awarded to a winner from each age category, winners will be contacted by phone.
